Nestled in the heart of the National Forest and within walking distance of the market town of Swadlincote, is Sharpe’s Pottery Museum. The stunning Grade II listed, bottle Kiln is the focal point of the site, which is surrounded by former pottery buildings, now transformed into a museum, visitor centre and venue for those special events.
If you are wanting something unique for your event, then look no further than this forever charming heritage venue, where we have a variety of spaces available for you to host your event from weddings, funerals, baby showers, social and charity, conferences to theatre performances, we can cater for all occasions.
Please note: Sharpe’s Pottery Museum is not licensed for weddings but you can book a Celebrant.

The Pottery Museum is exclusively yours for the day for a celebration you will cherish forever.
Have the whole of the Pottery Museum for you and your guests for a weekend or midweek hire. Relaxed and original or traditional and formal: The Pottery Museum can be whatever you want for your special event. Our event’s organiser will support you every step of the way.
Exclusive hirers of the museum have access to the courtyard and garden which could be used for additional seating and stalls such as a hog roast, ice-cream van and more.

EXTRA FACILITIES
The rooms have built-in audio-visual systems which includes microphones for speeches, a PA for background music, a plug-in point for phones or tablets and wide screens for photographic image presentation and digital backgrounds.
