Are you interested in the history and heritage of the local area? Or arts? Or pottery? Or all of those? Are you maybe wanting to make a contribution to an important local charity (time, not money).

We are looking for some new Trust Board members!

Sharpe’s Pottery Heritage and Arts Trust is a registered charity with the main aim of fostering heritage and arts in South Derbyshire by maintaining Sharpe’s Pottery Museum and in other ways. The Trust Board is responsible for seeing that our aims are carried out effectively and efficiently.

There are currently a few vacancies on the Board and we are looking to attract as broad a representation on the Board as we can. Whatever skills you have, or whatever your previous experience, we’re fairly sure YOU can make a valuable contribution to the Sharpe’s Pottery Heritage and Arts Trust. We are particularly but not exclusively, looking for people with legal, financial and heritage conservation skills and experience.

The positions are voluntary and we meet as a Board once a month. However, the meetings are just part of the role. You will have the opportunity to get as involved as you like in the leadership and oversight of the Trust alongside fellow trustees, our excellent staff and wonderful volunteers.

To apply, please complete the application form.

If you would like to learn more about the role or discuss before applying. please email Ian Bottrill, Company Secretary, to arrange to have a discussion either in person or over the ‘phone/zoom’ etc and you can ask any questions you have and we can give you a little more detail about what the role involves.

We look forward to hearing from you.
