Produced by Bretby Art Pottery, Woodville – early 1900’s. Local legend has it that Bretby’s founder Henry Tooth, modelled the lifelike Gypsy Boy and a matching Gypsy Girl on the children of a family of travellers he met in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
