Supporting the community

The museum hosts a variety of local arts, crafts and community groups on a regular basis throughout the year. Here’s a selection of what’s on offer and information about how to join in!

Derwent Woodturning Club

Derwent Woodturning Club has roughly forty members and is based here at Sharpe’s Pottery Museum. The skill levels in the group range from absolute beginners to those with decades of experience. The club meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 6.30pm to 9pm. Visitors and potential new members are welcome to attend though it is helpful if you contact the club beforehand by email or via the website where further details about club meetings can be found.
