Heritage Open Days

8 September - 10:00 am - 17 September - 5:00 pm

From 8 – 17 September, Sharpes is taking part in the Heritage Open Days progamme.

Established in 1994, Heritage Open Days is England’s contribution to the European Heritage Days and has since grown into the country’s largest community heritage festival.  Sharpe’s has been delighted to participate many times.  This year we are celebrating 100 years of Cornishware by T.G. Green’s with our new exhibition so we will be offering:

  • Object Handling Sessions
    Tuesday 12 September @ 10:00 am
    Thursday 14 September @ 10:00 am
Join us for a truly unique experience where we will be opening the cases of the exhibition to get ‘up close’ to our Cornishware collection.  This session is free of charge, but limited numbers, so please Book now
  • free Family Trail/Quiz based on our galleries, and a Games and Colouring corner in the exhibition
  • Take part in our Cornishware in the Kiln community artwork – weave in white and blue to create a Cornishware masterpiece as our own celebration of 100 years of Cornishware
  • Leave your memories of TG Greens and Cornishware on our feedback wall in the exhibition – it’s super important to us that the community joins in our celebrations and we’ll be sharing your comments in our social media to inspire others
