Crafted in Clay: Hand Building Ceramic Houses

Are you feeling creative, with a love of pottery? Why not join us and craft your very own Ceramic tealight house using traditional hand-building techniques! Guided by experienced ceramic artist, Elaine Lim-Newton, you’ll learn how to shape, sculpt, and decorate your clay to create a charming little house that glows beautifully when lit from within.
This relaxing and creative workshop is perfect for beginners and pottery enthusiasts alike. You’ll explore basic hand-building skills — such as slab construction, joining, and texturing — and have the chance to personalise your design with festive details and your own artistic flair.
Your finished piece will be left to dry, fired in our kiln, and glazed in a colour of your choice (choose from 2 colours) and ready for collection a few weeks after your workshopand.
