From slip-casting to wheel turning, ‘From Earth to Art’ will celebrate a cornerstone of South Derbyshire’s industry: pottery. Taking you on a journey through pottery creation, this brand-new exhibition at Sharpe’s Pottery Museum will explore how show-stopping pieces of art can be created from the very earth beneath our feet. The secrets behind both old and new pottery production techniques will be revealed, and you’ll even have chance to engage your senses and get involved using inspiration from the gallery around you.

The exhibition will occupy part of the ground floor galleries at Sharpe’s Pottery Museum.
