Join our hands-on pottery clay house slab‑building workshop. Joanna teaches participants how to construct small decorative or functional clay houses using simple slab‑building techniques. The session is hands‑on, creative, and accessible for beginners and experienced makers alike.

Joanna will begin by demonstrating how to roll out even clay slabs, cut clean shapes, and join pieces using the score‑and‑slip method. Participants learn how walls, roofs, windows, and doors can be formed from flat clay sheets.

The activity encourages creativity and personal themes. You work can be decorated with the coloured slips and underglaze washes.

These workshops are typically relaxed, chatty, and supportive. Participants work at their own pace, receiving guidance where needed. Because slab‑building is straightforward, people quickly gain confidence and enjoy seeing their miniature houses take shape.

Finished houses are left to dry thoroughly. Joanna then takes them away for kiln‑firing and glazing. Work will be returned for collection after 4-6 weeks.
