On Saturday 22 June 2024 the Kiln Hovel at Sharpe’s Pottery Museum will host vocalist Annie Duggan and talented guitarist Rob Hines for an event of acoustic and acapella entertainment.

The pairing of powerhouse vocalist Annie Duggan with exceptional guitarist Rob Hines is a match made in … well, possibly Clarksdale Mississippi (as mentioned in their pre-show publicity) or Nashville Tennessee, or the backwoods of Alabama. Take your pick, but the ‘roots’ of their music undoubtedly originate from the diverse strands of blues, country, folk and jazz that combine in the melting pot of ‘Americana’. To classify their music as one or other of these genres would be to do them a disservice, as their mastery of each and all is palpably plain to witness in their performance.

Rebecca King, Museum Manager at Sharpe’s Pottery Museum, says:

“We are delighted to be hosting Annie and Rob this Summer. Music in the Kiln was such a popular event last year and the unique acoustics in the Kiln Hovel make for a perfect stage for acoustic and acapella performances. We’re excited to bring new and existing audiences into this incredible space for an evening of good music, great drinks surrounded by heritage and history.”

An evening of entertainment will include a bar and snacks provided by the museum’s onsite cafe, Sweet Caroline’s, and will include two 45-minute sets by Annie and Rob.

Tickets are now on sale, are bookable online via the Sharpe’s Pottery Website or at the Sharpe’s Pottery Museum shop and are £10 each. Doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start and there will be a short interval between acts.
