EVENTS LECTURE BRUNCH - Winter Season of Lecture Brunches 25th February - The Rink by Graham Nutt A nostalgic journey back to the days of Swadlincote Rink 10th March - The Fauld Explosiion by Mark Rowe A fascinating talk on the miustery of the Fauld expolosion 24th March - Landmarks of Swarkestone Barbara Foster gives an intersting talk about famous historical landmarks in the village Tickets are £5 and includes refreshments after the talk. The talk will last for approximately one hour. Friends receive a 10% discount off the ticket. Monthly Valuation Dates - 2.30pm - 4pm Wednesday 4th January (This has been cancelled) Wednesday 1st February Wednesday 7th March A representative of Bamfords Auctioneers will offer advice and valuations on your antiques. We request £1 per item towards the upkeep of the Museum. Currently we have a 4 item per person limit due to the popularity of this event. Children's Activities Tiny Talk Baby Signing Classes - Wednesday 4th January - Wednesday 28th March 9.30am - 10.30am Why not join thousands of parents and babies across the UK who are learning to baby sign with Tiny Talk? We believe that sign language encourages early communication. Our fantastic Baby Signing classes are suitable from birth to 2 years. Price £4.50 per family. Contact: Bernadette Dooley 07786360873 Half Term Clay Days - Free Saturday 11th February 11am - 2.30pm Design and make an object out of clay, then come back to the Museum next Friday or Saturday and decorate it. 17th & 18th February 11am -2.30pm Design and make an object out of clay or paint the one you made last Saturday. Valentine Hearts - 10th & 13th February 11am - 2.30pm Give your valentine an extra special present this year and make a clay heart. for adults and children £1 per heart. Pancake Day Crafts - 21st February 10.30am - 3.30pm - Free Take a break from the races in the delph and enjoy some themed pancake crafts. Make your own Mother's Day Gift - 17th March 10.30am - 2.30pm Personalise your Mother's Day gift this year and make her something at the pottery £1 per item Easter Craft Workshop - Saturday 31st March 12pm - 2.30pm Sure Start Story and Rhyme 10am - 11am February 14th, 21st & 28th.
