Children's ZoneWelcome non-furry ones. My name is Les and I live at the museum. My family has lived at Sharpe's pottery since it opened in 1821, nearly 200 years ago. The place has changed a lot since those days. Back then non-furry young ones would work at the pottery 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. Now you just come and have fun! I like to have fun. My favorite game is to pop up and say 'ey up mi duck' (hello) to my non furry visitors. I can get anywhere around the museum without you seeing me. Swadlincote was famous for making pipes which run underground. Pipes make perfect rat runs. Pipes often join onto your sinks and toilets at home. Sharpe's made toilets and there are still plenty of these to see in the museum. Now they are not being used by you non furry ones they make a perfect home for me. |

of my favorite costumes.

Could you design me a new costume? If you send me a picture I will put
it on the website and if I really like it I might wear it around the
museum!
